A good zombie apocalypse novel about a Navy sailor and Marine trying to survive from one day to the next. As an ex-Navy guy I can tell you that he hit the nail on the head with their interaction. The story itself is very believable and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Zombie survival with attitude. Long takes you on a thrill ride that doesn't end until the last page. The writer assembles a honest cast or warriors and drive his narrative home. Fantastic fun and a quick read. I had a blast reading this book and missing out on sleep. I cant wait to read the next book in the series. I can't wait to read the entire series. Timothy Long has a way of writing stories that keeps you glued to book and turning pages.

Zombies without much thrillGrammar errors really detracted from the story. It’s an okay quick read, but not something that I couldn’t put down. Not very much depth to the characters either. I’ll probably read the next book in the series to see if it gets better, but I wouldn’t pay for it if it weren’t in kindle unlimited.

Author did not dissapointI stumbled upon Timothy long when I picked up Impact Earth. I liked that book so much I decided to look for Long's other books. I have my favorites but I will definitely keep reading from this author whatever he decides to write.

Enjoyable post zombie apocalypse romp. Follows the standard model but feels fresh

Great story! It's set in the same "world" as "Beyond the Barriers," but you don't have to read the other book to enjoy this one. The story is written from the first person perspective, as a journal of a enlisted Navy man who is trying to survive the zombie apocalypse with the help of a US Marine. It's a zombie story, with lots of action, and if you are a fan of the genre, it's worth reading.

Only 13% in & I didn't bother to finish this for 3 reasons. #1. I hate zombie books with main characters who are super concerned about booze. #2. Even though there was a lot of action within the first couple chapters, I was bored. #3. The banter was annoying. Maybe I just couldn't relate to the characters but there are MUCH better zombie/virus books that feature military men and women as the main protagonists!

Love it love it, love it. Oh, and have I mentioned I loved it? I've been a long time fan of Tim Long since I read Among the Living, snatching up his works as soon as they were released. So Z-Risen was bound to show up on my list at some point. Z-Risen will not disappoint my fellow zombiephiles. It earned a well deserved FIVE stars on fire from this monster. A pleasing start to what could be good series for me to read. . I am a semi-fan of zombies and this book injects new life with the narration by Seaman Jackson Creed.Of all the action, character dialog, and insane descriptions this book felt as if it was really happening. It brought back memories of reading Eric Shulman's series Dead Hunger.A good read for all Zombie fans.
