Know Your Onions

Know Your Onions

0/5 ( ratings)
Know Your Onions is an original guide to low-cost natural remedies for common ailments, providing an effective, long-term and healthy alternative to standard pharmaceutical solutions. The humble onion is the star of many of these remedies, alongside several other locally produced foods, helping these remedies to have a low carbon footprint too. The only exception to this is the banana, its anti-inflammatory properties offering a salve to a number of digestive conditions. Find out how my own poor health was the catalyst to the production of all of these remedies which have been tried and tested on me, my friends and family. Sometimes, natural remedies may not be so effective if you are on a number of medications which can actually interfere with absorption, as can smoking. Always allow a certain amount of time for some of the new diets to take effect.
Detailed information on all the vitamins is provided, some of which contemporary researchers have claimed to prevent, reduce and stop certain cancers, aswell as having other healing properties.
Another outstanding feature is the cost comparison chart which shows the price differences between prescription, retail and natural remedies, clearly demonstrating how much money you can save.
The second edition has now been published and has addressed some formatting issues around the inclusion of a chart and the very welcome constructive criticism of my readers. Apologies to any readers who may have experienced difficulty with reading the cost comparison chart in the e-book format.
This guide is not designed to replace the advice and guidance of your doctor and mainstream medication, but to work alongside and complement it. There are a number of general practitioners who have a specialist interest in natural remedies. Your GP can advise on who is available and inform you whether you can take a particular natural remedy, if you are on any medication. I am not promoting self-diagnosis, but encouraging awareness of the amazing and surprisingly simple natural remedies available to you. Enjoy!
