Awww!! This was really cute...until the end! I didn't really like the fact that all the animals were turned off by Barry because he was muddy. Though, I guess that was what Barry wanted so, it all worked out!? I don't know!?
Like a lot of other reviewers, I really liked this book but it just seems to suddenly stop. My daughter and I spent a few seconds trying to see if I’d missed a page, but no, that’s it.

Cute cuddly and bold and bubbly. Appealing for the very young and hug-oholics with a subtle note to respect ones personal space and boundaries.
The alternate title of this book should be "What It Feels Like to be an Introvert".
This could be a cool book for talking about personal space!
Hilarious! Perfect for preschool storytime!
Funny! A furry creature is attacked everyday by bunnies that want to cuddle him.
This is a book for cuddled-out parents. My son was a bit upset when Barry, the main character says "No more cuddles!" - kid was definitely on team bunny. We borrowed it from the library ... but oh my, I want my own copy of this book! ❤Without giving away what happened... this was a satisfying read (and i don't mean that in any inappropriate sense). 😊😊
Social interactions storytime. Not rhyming, but a cute story.
Sometimes too much of a good thing, is well, too much of a good thing. Barry is a big, furry, cuddly, animal. All the little furry bunnies just want to hug and cuddle him. This picture book shows how Barry tries a few solutions, until ultimately succeeded in just a little bit of quiet time. I imagine parents of demanding toddlers can relate.
Enjoyed the illustrations.
I saw this book in the return pile and staged an impromptu read aloud for my coworker. What a great book for talking about consent and/or introversion with children!
Really felt like this book was a missed opportunity to discuss creating boundaries, and saying no. It made me a little uncomfortable that the ending was just the cuddle monster being "too gross" to want to hug. Cute illustrations, tho
3.75 stars Apparently I am a lot like Barry, People want to hug him but he doesn't really want to be hugged. The pictures are ADORABLE!! Fun story...but I felt it ended abruptly. I know I am suppose to draw my own conclusions, but I didn't want to ...so one more page would have worked for me!
This was a cute book. The pictures were entertaining and the story was fun. I liked the way the text was presented on the page. The ending was really cute too. I enjoyed it. Nothing super special about it and no good life lesson, but it was just a nice read.
Ha. Barry is the cutest. I'd cuddle him.
Fluffy animal gets fed up with being cuddled - a bit like an anti-Hugless Douglas. I'm sure small children will enjoy this book, but I found it a bit too cutesy and I didn't find the text read aloud particularly well.
Barry solves his problem by accident, but not before he tries something else.
The illustrations are cute but the story didn't have the spark I'd been hoping for.Would pair well with Hug Machine by Scott Campbell.
