Lt. Hugh G. Rection can't catch a break. His ex, Ensign Truly Wetsnatch, has dropped him like a hot asteroid without explanation. Eventually she'd admitted that even though Hugh wasn't bad-looking in a fit sort of way, she just didn't find him that interesting. Two days later she sent him a message saying she had tried making a chart explaining just how mind-bogglingly dull he was but found the project so tedious she hadn't actually even finished the chart and had only sent an image file saying, “Chart goes here.”

So Hugh gets himself reassigned to Night Watch, which is fine with him. He enjoys the solitude and the sounds of the sleeping ship, the low thrum of the quantum drive and the complete lack of obnoxious crew members asking him why he completely failed to get into the BVD-794 Regulation Space Underpants of the most accommodating crew member onboard.

One evening, a fit of boredom sends Hugh straight to the ship's quantum drive, a mysterious power source that seems to have a mind of its own. What pleasures will he discover? Will he need a mop?

Quantum Jacking is the first story in the sci-fi comedy Spicy Science Stories series. Expect raunchy scenes, space ships, aliens, and even more raunchy scenes. Romance? Of course not but you don't want to read that hearts and flowers stuff anyway.
