2. The Respondent is a member of the Associated Press and purchases the service of the United Press, each one of which is a National organization en gaged in the purchase, collection, receipt, compila tion, and transmission of news and intelligence from places within and without the continental limits of the United States. The Associated Press maintains and operates teletype machines in the plant of the Respondent at Hollywood, California, for the pur pose of receiving and sending news and intelligence, by means of which news and intelligence originating both within and without the State of California are received at Respondent's plant at Hollywood, Cali formia. The news and intelligence so received are then redistributed through the columns of the Re.
