A decent enough volume since it wraps everything up pretty nicely, but it does seem a bit rushed towards the end [almost like they were planning a few extra issues and couldn't do it for whatever reason]. It was okay as a short series, but I wasn't blown away by it and I probably wouldn't have continued with it if it had been longer. There just wasn't a huge amount of character development but I guess what do I expect from nine issues lol.
Rather than breaking away from its cliched subgenre, this leans into it, going nowhere as the story rushes to its prematurely-cancelled conclusion. Naturally, there's a sting in the epilogue, just in case the series is resurrected, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Looking forward to seeing what Cypress does next, as his art is the selling point here.(Read as single issues.)
Not bad, but nothing very surprising. Feels too short to be emotional.
Nifty conclusion to this weird comic collection The Gravediggers Union take on the Cult of the Black Temple: let battle commence. There are casualties, revelations, betrayal, all to save the space monkey. The story is quite engaging although the outcome is hardly surprising. The artwork is garish, bold, colourful and not always clear. It’s fun in its strange way.
Disappointing. It wraps up the story but is rather cliché, rushed and at times hard to follow.
