The "What if?" line relaunches in the modern day Marvel Universe! I remember reading some of these as a kid, and they were always very hit or miss. WHAT IF? SPIDER-MAN 1 -- 3*WHAT IF? THE PUNISHER 1 -- 4*WHAT IF? THOR 1 -- 4* This is my favourite of the three I bought. I did enjoy them all though and the art was great in all three.
I bought this collection for the Leah Williams Magik issue. And it's as wonderful as I expected. Probably 5 stars on its own. The rest of this collection? Meh. The Ghost Rider one is very weird, the two Spider-Man ones are boring, the Thor one ok and the cyberpunk X-Men similarly mediocre.I don't regret reading any of them, but yeah, the Magik issue is the only one of these really worth reading.
