Stormfall (Greenstone, #3)

Stormfall (Greenstone, #3)

A.P. Johns
0/5 ( ratings)
Following on from the events in Thunderhead, the Greenstone story continues with Stormfall. In the northern hemisphere of Kalev, the great AIs, known as the Cities, await the return of their spy. Their power wanes and two rebel groups plot their downfall. A long-disconnected AI may have a solution to the conflicts in their core programs, so Jass Jorsith is sent to recover the protocols from the abandoned city of Torusson. In the south, the Vemorians are fighting a border war with Sa'Ganes, which threatens to overrun the Edlansson farm. Seeker Harp and the emerging talents of his young sister, Amel, will be pressed into the service of the Kings in that war, and the larger one to come.

The story of the collision between two very different worlds and their peoples, in which perhaps their similarities become more important than the things that separate them. Will the three southern nations resolve their differences, so that they can mount a concerted defence against the alien technology from the north? Against a background of world events, the book explores the personal stories of a group of people swept up in the melee of conflict, loyalty, treachery and adventure that is Kalev.
