Hooked From the StartYet again the super talented author Kyla Stone delivers another blockbuster of a series. I have only fairly recently discovered Kyla's work and am so delighted that I have. She has delivered a fantastic series in Nuclear Dawn, fast paced with a feisty, strong heroine in Dakota. Plenty of adventure with many twists and turns and unexpected events that you really don't see coming. The characters are believable and engaging with a little touch of romance added in.An amazing seri...
A great series! Exciting, page turning, thrilling and full of adventures. The journey continues along with the violence. The gangs are getting bolder with the chaos of the people. Everyone is trying to flee the nuclear fallout, no one is safe. Dakota is focused on finding her sister, Eden. The unthinkable happens first. Maddox has found Eden. Everyone is surprised that Maddox is Eden’s brother, but he uses her to get to Dakota. The group rallies with Dakota. Maddox escapes. Dakota must protect E...
Kyla Stone’s Nuclear Dawn series is addicting. She has woven a cast of characters with very real human flaws and failings all trying to survive a nuclear attack on America. Ms. Stone has packed this story with very believable scenarios and action. While reading this series on one level I realize it is fiction, but the scenarios the characters encounter leave me wondering how long it would take for residents of a city to devolve into a dog-eat-dog mentality after some apocalyptic event. This stor...
Exciting Read I really liked the characters especially Dakota and Logan. Both flawed and vulnerable. I enjoyed the way they worked through their vulnerability and came through on the other side by the time the book ended. I would have enjoyed more mention of their romance but that is just me. It was implied, I know. The jury is still out on Maddox. I think he was all over the place character wise and I’m not really too sure how I feel about that and about him in particular. He’s the only one I h...
Lovable, flawed characters By making the main characters imperfect human beings, Ms Stone has created a realistic and terrifying story. It would be difficult not to love Dakota, Eden and Logan. Other characters become people I’d love to meet. The thought of nuclear attacks by domestic terrorists is chilling beyond belief but still so possible it makes me shake at the thought! These books are written so well that I almost forgot that I was reading a book and was instead living in the story. Well d...
I never wanted to part from this story, it was so compelling that every free moment I spent reading more of this series. I found myself cheering on these characters, crying for these characters, and on the edge of my seat to see how the story played out. I absolutely loved this book series! Kyla Stone did a phenomenal job. This is the second series that I have read of hers, consider myself a fan of her work. Thank you for bringing this series to life and bringing me on a journey. Dakota, Shay, J...
Well researched book that has the technical details in order and floods up with a rational plot and well developed charsctersMuch better tan most I have read. The background technical details are well researched and presented clearly so there is a well defined canvas on which to paint the story. The plot in perfectly reasonable unfortunately. The characters are well developed and not overly heroic or superhuman. They deal with the situations realistically. Overall a good story that held my inter...
Not to.badGood story ruined.by u not reading what u write so many errors in what you tried to write .it's a shame this could have been a really good story a little research would have helped . most of what I tried to use as facts aren't 5.56 mm caliber ? Is just one. a sawed of shot gun that turned into a high tech assault weapon in seconds ! READ WHAT YOU WRITE Do A LITTLE RESEARCH
Great apocalyptic readingI loved this post apocalyptic series. It was sad to have it come to an end. Although there’s violence it’s not extreme for the genre. The characters are interesting and relatable and very memorable. The storyline is scary and it’s possibility terrifying. There’s no explicit sex and the love stories feel genuine. You’ll get involved with and love the characters as much as I did and hate to say goodbye in the end.
Whoa, I love KU boxsets and post apocalyptic? Cool!!*aims**hurls to TBR Pile**Kisses KU cellphone app*Did I tell you guys that My dog destroyed my Kindle? She swears it was an accident!! I'm saving money for an Oasis.
Book #1 Point of ImpactI truly enjoyed my journey with Dakota and Logan, et al... Dakota is tough young woman with a heart of gold, under her gruff exterior. She's practical, pragmatic, and fierce in her devotion to her sister, Eden, who was separated from Dakota in foster care. When the crap hits the fan she's more ready than most could be. She's going to do whatever she needs to get to Eden's side.Logan, talk about a perfectly imperfect guy. He's got a rocky past to overcome to become the man
Great series The series kept me engaged for the most part. I gave this a four star rating because personally I felt like there was too much action and not enough time spent getting to know the characters. I felt it needed just a bit more depth. However if you love action non stop then this is a series for you! However, even though I felt there lacked a bit of depth I just downloaded the authors next series.
Surviving the blast is only the beginning... Following a catastrophic nuclear attack which targeted 13 major cities, millions are wiped out in an instant while others are left to deal with the after effects of radiation poisoning. Troubled teen, Dakota Sloane has been working in a bar in Miami, trying to save enough money to get her younger sister Eden, out of foster care. Two years ago, they escaped the Everglades from a cult called the Shepherds of Mercy, which is run by the fanatic Solomon Ca...
ONE ACTION PACKED ADVENTURE!!!Thrilling! Kyla pulled out all the stops with this impressive collection that doesn't disappoint. Busting loose, squeezing hard and breaking through while all the chaos, shenanigans and mayhem run amuck blazing this jewel together piece by jagged piece. Non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, nailbiting, spine tingling, adrenaline pumping, mind blowing, chart topping, block busting masterpiece that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. Drama, ad...
WOWThe most impressive series of books I've read in years, of any genre. Chilling but exciting story, all the more so because of it's believability. Will miss the characters: Dakota, Logan, Julio, Shay, even conflicted Maddox, for a long time. Actually, every character was fully developed no matter how short their part. The action, the setting, even the weather, kept me hooked throughout. Thank you Kyla Stone for a thoroughly enjoyable read.
