The saga continues as Liam decides that he must try to find his nephew, L.J. When he left him with his brother's in-laws, he thought they would be safe. However, he soon finds out that the supposed safety of the FEMA camp is anything but safe.Hannah and Milo are trying to come to terms with Noah's death while Hannah tries to help her town of Fall Creek do more than just survive. Just when it seems like things are getting easier, a new threat rears its head. But, most of the book is devoted to one...
Well damn! Yet another stellar entry in this series, one I was all too eager to rate 5-stars like nearly all of its predecessors. There was literally nothing I didn't like. Any complaints I had were miniscule pouts, nothing that worsened the experience. There was so much juicy goodness just LITTERED throughout this entire thing; I don't even know where to begin. Whether it was the action, the sadness, the grief, the surprises, the violence....the intensity levels were dialed all the way up this
The saga continues... Just when you thought there may be hope, random gangs of thugs and militia and other loose cannons who have pretty much lost their bearings come out to pursue their own agendas. We get entangled into these encounters, some personal, some political, some doing anything to survive. In the meantime, as always, there are good, committed people trying to get through this and survive, and hatch a plan for the future which is not looking so imminent. After an EMP, its thought it t...
This Book is PackedLove and hate, treachery and redemption, joy and sorrow, destruction and recovery, self-reflection, rescue, pain, and healing. Kyla has packed so much into this book. And, WOW, this book has an unbelievably emotional ending. This book is the best in the series. How she can top this in the next book will only be amazing. I really love Kyla’s books. She brings so much to her characters. She sets the bar high for herself and other authors in this genre.
I know people get wrapped up in their love of a series and an author and it's hard for them to give reviews of less than 5 stars, but I just can't. This was my second least favorite after the second in the series. It's just so. much. plot. Also, I was incredibly annoyed when I got to the end and realized it wasn't the last in the series. This series has drug onnnnnnn for SIX books now and a seventh on the way.... Bruh. Adding in so many new and unnecessary characters and so. much. drama. And STI...
Kyla Stone does it again! Although the story was shorter than I'd hoped I really enjoyed the continuation of Hannah, Liam, Milo, Molly, Quinn, and the town's adventure. Just when you thought it was going to be wrapped up in a nice, neat little bow where everyone lives happily ever after and society starts to repair itself... WHAM! not so fast you wanna be plot predictors...Full disclosure; I was lucky enough to be gifted an advanced copy of book #6 by Kyla (I've purchased the previous 5) in exch...
2.5 STARSIt seemed like this one was a lot of "extra" stuff that didn't really add much to the overall story. Liam suddenly decides he needs to know what happened to his nephew, taking him away from Fall Creek again, getting hurt again.Quinn, who was my favorite character, decides to lone wolf it, making one stupid decision after another. I got tired of her in this one.Luckily Ghost and Molly are still awesome, could have used a little more of them in this one."The General" is the big bad finall...
This series just keeps getting better and better! I particularly enjoyed the section about Quinn where - no spoilers - she departs from doing what others want and decides to take a trip. Obviously, in one of these books, all does not go to plan, and I found this part of the book to be both riveting and believable. Again, as with the last book, there was a lot of action, which I loved. There was certainly an abundance of that in the sections detailing Liam's quest - compelling and edge-of-the-sea...
Intelligent, exciting, engrossing, with out forcing misguided "Christian" beliefs onto the readerI am drawn to post-apocalyptic books for some strange reason. Many (most) of them are not worth finishing -- some spout some supposedly Christian philosophy that does not track with actual Biblical teaching (it all) with regards to life, survival, choosing yourself over others, which is incredibly offensive for those of us who try to take Christ's teachings seriously (sometimes so offensive the book
Another great book in the series and Kyla didn't disappoint with this one. There are so many emotions going on in this book. Liam trying to find his nephew and Quinn has so much going on with everything she's lost and losing herself in the process. The struggles and what the whole town has gone through and it makes you think this could be us. I tried to slow down reading it because I didn't want the book to end but I had to keep reading because I had to see what was going to happen next! there's...
