The Last 30 Hours

The Last 30 Hours

Diane Clement
0/5 ( ratings)
An inspiring autobiographical memoir of a woman who overcame a lifetime of abuse, and against all odds, outlived it all to realize her dream of becoming a successful artist, while raising four awesome, loving children. Written in storytelling form, this graphic recollection of years of childhood sexual abuse, at the hands of two older brothers, and an older cousin, and verbal, emotional and physical abuse at the hands of her mother, reveals valuable lessons and useful life survival skills. The collective wisdom and experiences of survival, promise to be useful to other survivors and just might help them in their journey to realize happiness and a level of success in life not thought possible in hopes to realize their dreams. My younger, Jim “Smokey” West, and I have both reached levels of happiness and success we never knew we could; did not know we could. And it happened because we kept going. We both kept using and tailoring the gifts with which we were born, until we got free. A real plan might be better, but for those who carry a lot of weight from the damage, sometimes it’s hard to see forward. We may not be able to leave it all behind, but I just want you to know that getting there, somewhere awesome, is possible. Life is a quizzical and beautiful thing.
