What can I say? I’m hooked!
I was expecting an actual book, not this graphic novel about characters that I have never heard of before.What the...? Where's the book? Who are these people? Why did we start in the middle of a story? Nothing makes sense!!!
So Nafarro is Brakebills’s Voldemort? OK.
Quite possibly some of the best Brakebills stories aroundI absolutely adore these books.They are very much in line and in feeling with the original novels, but, they add to the lore in the detail of the setting in amazing ways.If you like the TV show, you will like these comic books… And if you like the books you’ll like these comics. Fans of the Magicians of all stripes should be thrilled with these no matter what!
It’s not my favorite, but I still did enjoy it. I found this one to more predictable than the other ones I read in the series.
This 4/5 comic books (to create the graphic novel) answers questions from the prior book and has the two groups of students working together as a team. Also introduces a nonbinary character. Great entry in the series.
The MagiciansFogg calls a meeting of the students and tells them about the 3 librarians that were killed. He tells them the cause is a missing magical volume. He can’t say much more but says they aren’t in any danger. (How you gone tell a bunch of students they aren’t in any DANGER when 3 people were killed on the school grounds?), One of the students throws some shade at the new students, but Fogg says it wasn’t them. The end was the best part. But I mean the conversation on the pier. It was creepy and beautiful, one of my favorite combinations.
