Well this was a great second chance romance! It takes place about 5 years after the ending and break-up from book 1. Blake and Farrah are all grown up, successful businesspeople, but haven't seen each other since their time in Shanghai. They reunite through Blake's friend and Blake hires Farrah as his interior designer for his new house, mainly so Blake can get his second chance with the only woman he's ever loved and has never stopped thinking about. There is angst and grovel in this second cha...
"If the sun never sets, the stars will never shine."Thank you so much yet again to Ana Huang for my complimentary digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This book takes place five years after If We Ever Meet Again, in which Farrah is working for a prestigious design company and Blake is the owner of a chain of very well to do sports bars. The two have gone their separate ways and have made successful names for themselves, while never ever being able to forget about each other...
Oh, my heart, all the feels, swoon, heartache, angst, anger, sadness, and so many more.I didn’t think it was possible to love Blake and Farrah more than I did in book 1 but book 2 proved that to be wrong. The chemistry and connection they shared in this book seemed to go deeper than it had been in book 1 maybe because they were older now. The emotional ups and downs I had while reading this were everything I love about getting lost in a book. I felt the emotions with these characters as they lov...
-- Read this review, and others, on my blog at www.hookedbythatbook.com. -- Farrah is out of a job after she is passed over for a promotion due to nepotism. She decides to take on a client as a freelance interior designer, who just happens to be Blake Ryan, the man who broke her heart five years ago. This second book is just as emotional and intense as the first one. But while their love in the first book is shiny and new, in this book it is tainted by their heartbreak and the dark thoughts that
This book was exactly what I needed. If The Sun Never Sets is the conclusion of Farrah and Blakes story and it's a good one. I should know this by now but when I continue to read a lot of dark romance it literally sucks the soul out of me. So reading a book like this that is real grounded and doesn’t put my heart through the ringer, reminds me that I do love pure romance. This book had a great pace, was easy to follow along, and the characters were unique and unforgettable. There’s definitely a
Well, damn. If I thought book one was angsty, it was nothing compared to the angst in book two and ngl, by the end I was a little over the back-and-forth and it wasn't even a question of will-they, won't-they but more when will they get their act together? That's not to say that I didn't enjoy this though because I really did! I mean, I finished the duet in less than a day so... 🤷🏻♀️When we reunite with our MCs five years after Shanghai, they're a little older and successful but also a little b...
Welllllllllllllll it was better than my last two reads I guess This book deals with second chance romance witch I’m leaning is a favorite of mine because …I love the messes/drama However I’m seeing a main theme that needs to go when these chicks Wright their heroines For some reason the hero gets to be thriving in his career great friends / awesome sex life / loaded While miss girl out here quitting her job / hasn’t had sex in a yearBut what took me out was …. She can’t even make her self orgasi...
3.5 stars, rounded up.This was a cute quick read that delivered the promised HEA. In fact, the ending is why I rounded up instead of down because it made me feel warm and fuzzy. Otherwise, the book was… nice. Nothing more, nothing less. I rolled my eyes at the extent of Blake’s entrepreneurial stardom (*12* bars in five years?! We’re not even gonna try to go for realism here?) but I liked the New York setting. The plot otherwise was cute, I’m a sucker for ~fated reunions~ and coincidences and th...
Forgettable.
As promised, I loved this book so much more than the first. I was a little nervous when the truth about Shanghai came to light so early because I knew what would happen as the book continued and I thought I would be annoyed by it, but I was pleasantly surprised that I actually didn’t mind it all that much because Blake still had some things to learn! I loved how Farrah remained strong against Blake even though she still clearly loved him and wanted to be with him. She just knew that she deserved...
Ya’ll—it’s the redemption story for me. I fell in love with Farrah and Blake in Huang’s first book... and the ending left me on the Ed’s of my seat for this book! I was not disappointed—their character grown and relationships while make you feel ALL of the feels. From college kids to adults, from friends to lovers. This was a heartfelt, spicy, and overall a wonderful duology.
I read the first book last year and missed ana books so I came back to it and I’m so glad. It was so good, perfection really. I’m so ready for the best two books.
3-3.5 starsI’ve read the series back to front. It wasn’t deliberate but I often prefer knowing where things are going between the characters before I start. This was a solid second chance book. The h makes the H work for redemption each time there is a bump in the road. At the end of the day, her underlying feelings for the H wins out each time. I preferred his final effort at redemption vs the other times.
3⭐️It was a good follow up book to the first one but I was just wanting more character growth from Blake and we didn’t really get that imo. He made the same mistakes as he did the first time (though not the cheating) and it took way too long for him to realise how and why he messed up things up.
DNF. 55% This was the first and only book I will ever read from this author . I recently read Tempest Phan’s book, Damien and I really enjoyed it . A friend recommended that I give this author and story a go because it has a lot of angst and the love story was similar to Damien. So I picked it up. And boy when i say I wasted a few hours of my life on this, that’s an understatement. The writing was good . Maybe it was even excellent, if the content was mirrored in its merits . But it wasn’t , so h...
