Good storyCouldn't put it down. I liked the characters and the cat. You wanted them to survive but it seemed so hopeless
Wow! Sucked me in from the first few pagesExcellent book. Will definitely look into more from this author. A new go to author for me. Awesome, fast paced read, I couldn't put it down. This book was a great ride that I didn’t want to get off. I fell in love with the characters and the story kept me hooked to the end!
Great book! What an exciting fast paced survival story. Didn’t want it to end. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
WowGreat story , couldn’t stop reading. Wanted more from the end but I guess that means another book. One of the best I’ve read this year
This was my least favorite in the series, but it’s still overall a very enjoyable read! It was just a little less realistic than the others and the resolution was a little bit disappointing in terms of detail. There was more of a survival focus than a crime focus, and I think that the crime got the short end of the stick in this case. But I applaud the author for doing something slightly different with the format. I by no means want to discourage anyone from reading this book! :)
A well written thriller but simply not as plausible as previous entries in this series. There are a few loose ends which are never really wrapped up either, and the suspension of disbelief is more akin to a science fiction story than a crime thriller. Good for a light read.
Tension, drama, suspense and epic adventure! This is the third book in the Agent Victoria Heslin Thriller Series but be assured that it can absolutely be thoroughly enjoyed as a standalone without imparting any sense of having missed out on vital background. In this frighteningly plausible storyline, we follow FBI Agent Victoria Heslin and her potential romantic partner and friend, Ned Patterson (a veterinarian) as they embark on a trip to Spain to volunteer at an animal rescue which Victoria spo...
From the first Victoria Heslin book I have loved her character. In this book her character shows strengths and weaknesses and really develops into a more rounded character. Although there are weaknesses she shows strengths that are beyond what many people possess. It also continues her relationship with Ned her dog caretaker and lover which at times is on shaky ground. The characters are well developed and different enough to be interesting and the plot and location are certainly unusual and ext...
Great book. Great descriptions. A real suspense and FBI thriller packed together.
Nail-biting! I'm surprised I have any nails left after finishing "When They Find Us" by Jenifer Ruff. This is the third book in the series with a fourth to come. I believe they can be read as stand alone because I have not read the first two yet and didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. You can mark my words that I am going to find the time in my schedule to read them. This is a great story of survival after a plane crash in Greenland during the winter. There are seven survivors. One of...
This Book MUST Be Made Into A MovieFrom beginning to end, a movie played in my mind. It was sensational! I was so worried Ashby was going to die right before the rescue. This should not be a low budget movie but a grand one. I wish I had a contact at a studio. Best book I've read in awhile.
As alwaysA great story. I loved all the twists and turns. Can't wait to see who she ends up with and what happens next
This is a wonderful third book in a series – the other two are even better, as far as the mystery goes, but the survivalist part of this one is amazing. Also you’ll be cold reading it and it’s a 2 am - finish the book before I go to bed kind of book.
Once I started reading this book I couldn’t stop until the end. It is a good exciting book
Starts out great, middle is great, ending fizzles out. And because of spoilers I can't say why it fizzles out but I can tell you was I was left unsatisfied. The bulk of the novel is how the characters deal with being stuck in an area where there is just snow as far as the eye can see. No distant smoke trails from towns or villages, nothing but white. And wind. The wind is the killer. And they also have to deal with each other's personalities and the clashes that ensue. Speaking of personalities,...
Exciting plot and twists with some unlikable characters (gotta have baddies for a good reading experience). Christian based. Clearly narrated.
This is a thrilling read.Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.Recommend reading.I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
2.5 STARSI haven't read any other books in this series, but this was a Kindle Daily Deal and I'm a sucker for a plane crash survival story. I didn't feel like I was missing too much information by not reading the previous books.Victoria is an FBI agent who's also an heiress that lives in a mansion (eye roll). She comes across as very judgmental and I didn't like her much. She traveling with Ned, one of two men who seem to be in love with her (another eye roll). She wasn't all that nice to Ned an...
3.5 starsThis book definitely reads like an action movie. It is part of a series but can easily be read as a stand alone(which I did). FBI agent Victoria finds herself on a plane that has crashed in the middle of nowhere. Her and a handful of other survivors must figure out a way to survive until help arrives, of it does.
Entertaining! Jenifer Ruff has written another action packed, suspenseful book!I'm telling you, when you have a chance to read Ruff's books, you don't want to pass it up. This was the 3rd book in her Agent Victoria Heslin series, it can be read as a stand alone, but I think you should definitely read the others. When They Find Us, was entertaining on all aspects, there was tragedy, the need for survival, life and death situations, intense twists and turns. I literally found myself getting chills...
