Jeremy Lambert takes over the full-time writing issues, yet little continues to happen. The goal of this book seems to be to bring in as many characters from the TV show as they can without anything really happening. I'm not sure what Boom is waiting for. Cancellation? The multiverse becomes a real thing in this arc. They travel to the TV version of the show during Season 2 right after the "Ripper" episode. Yet, still nothing of interest happens. There's three different artist on the book. None
2.5 Stars.Read as single issues.Sorry if this is a bit ranty...WHile I loved this series from the get-go, and it's introduced some interesting conceits overall (Vamp!Xander for example), I feel like it's been kinda spinning it's wheels since the Hellmouth event. And it still feels like the title is too unfocused for me; the show was "Buffy and the WHiteHats", but the comic feels like ""The Whitehats plus Buffy". WAY too many important recurring characters taking center stage in this title, IMO. (...
My favorite of the new ones so far!
I don't really know where they're going with this story and it's beginning to feel like they don't really know either. The "crossover" wasn't as fun as expected. It's still okay but I'm not sure for how long. I'd like it if they developped the characters more instead of bringing one back every other issue.
After a few co-written issues, Jeremy Lambert takes over Buffy's ongoing comic as the sole writer. The story at last seems to be making movements again, with the final confrontation with Vampire!Xander and the introduction of the newest big bad, but there's still a sense that the plot's being stifled by something. If this were Marvel, I'd say they were keeping a story burning for a big anniversary issue, but we're in the mid-20s, there's nothing to wait for. If we just hit the pedal rather than s...
Multiverse stories when done well are quite entertaining. This one isn't done well.To illustrate how little ANYONE actually cares about this series, allow me to direct you to the Wikipedia page for the entire series, under the heading: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Boom! Studios). As of this writing (6/15/21), that page hasn't been edited or updated in 9 months. Since October 2020. Not even a Wiki-editor on a nit-picky grammar hunt has worked on the page. And it was barely edited before that, since th...

I feel like this series is throwing everything at the wall and nothing is sticking.

I like the idea of timeline jumping. It’s funny, also the world without shrimp thing did make me actually laugh. I just really feel like the character writing is still mediocre across the board? At least we get a cordelia reappearance lolHowever the decision to just kill Xander off entirely and replace him with Kendra…excellent.
Love this series!I love this reboot series. Also the fact that this is the universe without shrimp! This was awesome, although I hope the next volume has a little more of the old gang in it.
god i can’t get enough of willow/xander angstcontent/trigger warnings; ableism, loss of loved one, phyiscal violence, rep; willow (sc) is a lesbian. kendra (sc) is black and queer. robin (sc) is black.
This mess of a plot has no place for a multiverse. I stuck it out as long as I could but I’m so done with this run. I can’t tell a single character apart and I have absolutely no idea what’s going on.
En daar heb je een beetje slechte Willow heks en begin van slechte Faith…
Love me a good Alternate Universe especially when it’s a throwback to the OG series!! Although I loved it, the art made it extremely difficult to tell certain characters apart.
It looks like things are getting interesting with the introduction of a multiverse...but then nothing comes of it?!? What?
Honestly, this series is losing me. It was fun to see the TV world, but I'm so lost in so many other aspects and it seemed like a totally pointless detour?
The last few volumes have been a slow burn with not much happening but the story in this volume is interesting, I quite enjoyed it, the titular character is actually in it. Finally, the art is a lot better from issues 25-26 with Valentina Pinti and Marianna Ignazzi. I struggle to find any comics interesting if I don’t enjoy the art.
things are...kinda...starting to come together? The sudden shifts in narratives and universes hurt my head. also not a fan of this artist, action scenes and characters get confusing. However, LOVE Growly. more of him please. All in all, an improvement on the last volumes, finally.
Buffy multiverse is confusing.I don’t like it.Although the fact that our reboot Buffy is the world without shrimp is kinda funny. I liked that.
