This is another in an ever-growing list of “look how I made money writing books and you can do so too.” His basic strategy is publishing a new title every 30 days. Apparently, having numerous titles, of whatever length or quality, leads to financial success as an author. Despite this advice, he goes on to list 61 ways to sell more books, though how one is supposed to accomplish these 61 takes while simultaneously producing new published content every 30 days is not explained. Nevertheless, if yo...
Very good book and ideasI like Steve Scott's books as they are practical and action oriented. This book is no exception but for some reason I put off reading it. I wish I hadn't. There are some excellent ideas in here that I have quickly put in place. I don't yet known how much difference they will make but I'm pleased my approach feels more professional. If you're an Amazon author this is good book for ideas on promotion.
61 stretched it, but good adviceThe first 21 are good advice, but it got a little thin towards the end. I know he wants to make his books longer with more advice, but if you implement the first 21, you'll be ahead of most folks.
I learned a lot from this book and used it to raise my book-marketing to the next level.
Muy completo y utilMe resulto muy preciso y simple con varias ideas interesantes para aplicar en proyectos concretos. Ahora, solo queda probar si resulta.
Easily one of the best books on building a kindle publishing business on the market from a guy whose at the top of the industry in monthly earnings as well as consistent quality content. A must-read for anyone serious about building a book publishing business.
Great resource for anyone self-publishing a book!We all have our gifts and callings and it is obvious Scott is operating in his! I have spent 25 years training 1,000's of sales people and understand what it takes to convey knowledge to a variety of audiences and have them walk away feeling they can be effective. I have also written several books and had the luxury of distributing them to my built in audiences.A little over 3 years ago, I decided to begin self-publishing to reach a broader audien...
I gave it a 5-review because a single insight from this kind of guides is enough, and I had about 10 from this little book. Although what's been said in other comments here is true (the author stating you should write certain genres that will sell better, as opposed to writing about what you like), I've read about three or four books on Kindle sales and about 8-10 of Scott's tactics were new to me.
This is indeed a very helpful book for anyone looking for ways to sell more kindle books on Amazon. How about 61 ways? No problems, because Author Steve Scott does talk of a total of 61 ways to market your books. The best thing is that his strategies are all implementable, as I have experienced personally. Simple yet doable. In that context, this 108-page Amazon 5-star e-book (sorry, there is no paperback) can be a good foundation for acquiring the basic skills of marketing and a great way forwar...
Just What I NeededThis book is no fluff. It gives you a thorough and complete action plan for selling Kindle books. I highly recommend this book if you're looking to do this business the right way for the long term.
I love this book. Steve Scott has given some incredible actionable steps in this book! I read it twice. First time, to get the big picture. And second time, I took down notes and added the actions he suggested to my to-do-lists.I like he presents all the options upfront and then explain to the readers why he chose with one option over the others. He doesn't insist that his way is the right way. He just shares what the ways that has proven workable for him. It's up to the readers to pick and choo...
I've read a lot of books and blogs on selling your ebook, but the tips contained in this compact volume really stands out. I've heard some of the recommendations before, but there was a lot of strategies and methods that were completely new to me. And the information is presented in a very conversational, organized, and highly actionable way that feels empowering and energizing. Steve Scott has other books on similar topics that I'll be sure to check out. Highly recommended.
Great Tips! This is a good book filled with ACTION ITEMS that will help authors--especially authors with no sales or marketing background--to implement strategies that will help them sell books now and build a sustainable foundation for future book sales. Highly recommended.
A very helpful bookThis is the first Kindle book I've read where I've actually taken notes, 3 pages. The book is packed full of information and ideas. If you are thinking of publishing through Kindle, get this book first!
An easy readA nice, accessible book that seems helpful. I look forward to trying out the tip in it. Will be checking out his other books.
Good InsightsThe Author had very good insights on the way people view, read and comment on the books. I found 3 great takeaways...1 Take the high road when reading negative reviews of your work.2 Show, Don't tell - sound advice.3 Make sure your work helps readers with the issue of problem they are having.Words to remember. Good read.
Packed with practical ideas. Nice writing style.
I've read a few of Scott's books prior to this one and have found them to be very helpful. I've recently come onto the Kindle ebook scene as an author and his tips and methods for promotion look great. I've already seen a few of these and have applied some smaller aspects, but this detail makes much more sense and I plan on expanding my approach.
This is one of a long series of books that amount to "get rich quick" schemes for online publishing. The author recommends finding a profitable topic area to write about regardless of whether you know anything about the topic. The author apparently writes about selling books, fitness, and other subjects. The book also suggests cranking out a book or more per month. If you are looking for your next get rich quick idea, this is a book for you. If you are a serious author interested in thinking thr...
So much information...Most of the 61 ways are applicable to Kindle authors like me. Steve Scott helps with the confusion of what to do first with his handy categories and priority lists.
