Write a review?
Well, I guess I already knew how to write an ebook—which is to say, how to write a book. Steve Scott’s how-to manual did offer some good tips in terms of writing for the genre, which is different from writing a traditional, standard 400-pager. But I still don’t have the faintest idea how to publish an ebook—nor will anyone who just reads this book without following all the suggested links and doing a great deal of additional research. So it may be said that this book may “point the way” for someo...
This was one of my kindle books read earlier in the year, so a late review. This book was written by Steve Scott who has published many ebooks on amazon, so he should know what he's writing about! This book has a wealth of information and would be an asset to anyone thinking of writing an ebook or has even written one but wasn't too successful, there would be some helpful information on how to make a success of their next book. I only marked it 4 instead of 5 because for the likes of people like...
Great ideas for non fiction writersOutstanding book with numerous ideas for non fiction writers The book is a fast read filled with suggestions related to time management, writing schedules, developing contents, outlines, rough drafts, cover designs, proof reading and editing. Not sure everyone reading the book can accomplish all this in 21 days but the outlined ideas will help authors reduce their times.
A Writers Companion This book will always stay on my kindle as a reference guide. If you want to write an eBook this is an essential. Easy to read and packed with lots of practical advice. Time to get started on my book now.
I did not learn too many new things, but I did appreciate this little book as a refresher of old knowledge. Also, it got me writing again, so there you go.
Short, sweet, and consistent!A great guide to help beginning writers. I am glad I found this series. Looking forward to implementing these steps.
Excellent, ideas.
Quite resourceful. This short book is a very good manual on writing book and publishing in kindle.
As a long-time writer of nonfiction (that's right, all you storytellers out there, you'll never have to worry about competition from me), I've thought about publishing an ebook a few times. What kept me from actually trying to do that, though, is one of the first requirements mentioned in this book: You have to know enough about something - from personal experience - before you can pass it on to others. The author does, however, point out that the knowledge doesn't have to be extensive enough to...
This book is worth reading for the discussions on research alone. If you follow Mr. Scott's advice, you will stand a much better chance of writing something that someone might actually read. After all, isn't that the whole point of writing a book in the first place?
Great Job Steve. Awesome book!Steve really helped me finally get my book published. I'd been kicking around an idea for years and this book helped me put it to paper and get it out in the world. This is a must read for anyone thinking about writing a book. Get it done!
mediocre booklet While the book provides a process for writing a book in 21 days, it does not provide much insight on how to write a book worth reading. Thousands of writers are cranking out books with little concern for quality and impact. Readers have limited time and don't need another mediocre book.
a quick read, easy to skimm. There is nothing mind blowing in this book, you could probably think of most steps yourself. But you probably wont and just start writing and forget some important steps. Skimm this book first. Just consider it a checklist.
I found this book to be filled with ideas. Normally I take notes when I read and this results in my note taking every several or more pages, but this book basically had useful info on every page. I didn't even bother to take notes. Really good book.
Easy and to the point Sometimes I feel that I'm never going to get anything published and along comes a book that assures me this is not the case. I liked it. Easy to read and digest and makes me think that tomorrow is the day! Day 1 of 21 days and counting:-)
Great bookI enjoyed this book. I found some really good advice for getting my book written quickly.although this 21 day model doesn't include advertising and promoting.
Resourceful I gave me a lot of ideas on how to publish my first e-book. Enjoyable reading. Easy to assimilate the ideas
This book is awesomeIt is a comolete and simple step by step guide on how to write a nonfiction book. One of the bests about writing . I have read a lot of them. I am really happy.
This book provides some useful insights into writing by a non-author. It is worth spending our time and money on this.
amazing bookI really feel like I can write my book in 21 days now. I loved this book. So practical and full of experience and wisdom
