Psalms - Translated as "Songs", "Hymns", or "Praises", are a collection of inspired words by Israelite songwriters as they expressed their relationship
to God. Over half the body of psalms are attributed to David, a poet, musician and one of the King's of Israel. Other contributors include Asaph ,
the sons of Korah , Solomon , Moses , Ethan and Herman .
Psalms is perhaps the most widely used book in the Bible, as well as the largest. The 150 psalms cover from the Creation to postexilic periods, and include
such diverse topics as worship, peace, jubilation, war, judgment, praise and prophecy. The psalms were accompanied by stringed instruments.

Proverbs - May also be rendered as a "wise saying" or "maxim", are a collection of positive and negative messages for everyday living. The primary message
in proverbs is that of wisdom. Wisdom provides us with an understanding of the "Fear of the Lord", teaching us a life of worship, love and obedience to God.
Proverbs 1-22 are attributed to Solomon, the son of King David. He composed 3,000 proverbs and 1,005 songs . Two centuries after Solomon,
King Hezekiah's scholars compiled more of Solomon's proverbs. Agur, compiled proverbs 30, King Lemuel and his mother wrote proverbs 31.
