More action with Ania Solo and friends.
The plot is really starting to move quickly now and I suspect it is because they were on a tight schedule to get this series finished before Dark Horse lost the license. The story suffers a bit as a result, though the plot and characters are still enjoyable. And this is another volume where there are some nice surprises for the reader. Unless I am mistaken, there is another new artist in this volume and in my opinion, the art has slowly deteriorated from excellent to just fine which is kind of a...
I'm still enjoying this series and really like the characters. It just feels like it is a little pinched in the (unfortunate) rush to finish up the Dark Horse titles before the license goes to (did I mention that I feel that it is unfortunate?) Marvel.
Volume 3 of the Ania Solo series is a bit of a letdown. It really feels like it's building for the 4th volume and came up with a quick story on Solo being a wanted woman. Typical multiple bounty hunters hunting a target story. Maybe not having read Legacy 1 series led to me missing some reference points but it was "okay" for a Star Wars story.
So I really enjoy the action in this, and the art is still really good. But I still feel like I don't really know Ania Solo. We meet her love interest Ramid, but don't really know much about their past.
Wanted: Ania Solo may be somewhat unnecessary in the grand scheme of the whole Legacy storyline, but I'll give credit where credit is due and say that it's a vast improvement over its predecessor. Hardman's illustrations are much better than Thies's and even Bechko's writing seems to have been reigned in with a much more concise, cohesive structure this time around. The plot still jumps around too quick (as people have said, it was probably Dark Horse's attempt to get this series out before Marv...
Damn fine SW comic book series. Sorry to see it end, but at least the main story plots were resolved and resolved well. And you know what? I am not convinced there will not be new "Legends" stories someday. Crazier things have happened in the publishing world of franchise fiction. In fact, I predict there will be more. Perhaps more Legacy II stories. In the meantime, I am enjoying all the cool new things happening in the SWU. I mean, Star Wars comics are now available on Marvel Unlimited!!
Story: goodArtwork: very decent ;)All in all : me = satisfied
Ania Solo is wanted for the murder of an Imperial Knight. It’s news to her, though, which means someone is trying to frame her. When she conveniently has a run-in with an ex-boyfriend and disappears, the authorities figure it’s confirmation of her guilt. Her friends have questions, but they know Ania’s no killer. Imperial Knight Jao Assam risks everything to find evidence proving her innocence, and Darth Wredd uses the opportunity to fulfill his evil schemes…Book 3 of Star Wars Legacy, “Wanted:
This series doesn't have a very firm overall arc, but doesn't matter, this volume of comics makes up for the rest. It's got great dialogue, grasping art and some really inventive content (uh a planet where acidic glass shards rain from the heavens, yes please!)
A woman is hunted by bounty hunters. Not a bad story, but nothing earth shattering, and some of the graphics were good - probably one only for fans of the series.
This is all considered non-canon now and falls under the category now listed as Legends or alternate timeline. Personally, this timeline will be canon but even without factoring that personal opinion in, I loved seeing the far future of the Star Wars family names we have all come to love and hate. If you are a Star Wars fan, I highly recommend checking out this graphic novel series. If you are not a SW fan but love science fiction and graphic novels, I recommend checking it out, it is set up far...
I'm just trying to figure out how they catalog these comics. I mean, they have the individual comics, the collected volumes, AND the omnibus? Geez...
Wanted: Ania Solo is the solid penultimate novel in the Legacy II series. Ania finds out there's a bounty out on her. Before she can even explain to her friends why, she is kidnapped and her friends must decide, is she even worth going after? The artwork and design were excellent, the realism adding to the grit of the story. I was also fond of the TIE Bomber-styled ship as a throwback to earlier times. The detriment I felt was the choices (or lack) of color palette on the outpost planet. The green...
Okay. Beautiful colors and wonderful art. Storyline was meh.
I feel like 3 stars is way too low but yeah I'm bad at rating. But I like this series. The story isn't as grand and exciting as Legacy I but the characters are way less annoying. And not Cade Skywalker so it's already a huge improvement in that regard
This is book 3 of 4 in the Legacy II series. It's better than the other 2; while the story is still a bit erratic in sequencing, it’s more cohesive. Too, the art is more unique, with different angles and persoectives.Ania has a bounty on her head for killing an Imperial Knight. This fact confuses her and her friends.A very annoying bounty hunter is after her with a vengeance. Ania, AG, Sauk and Jao come across a seemingly dead ship in a minefield. But there are live people inside, including a Ve...
Star Wars: Legacy II Vol. 3 finds Ania accused of a crime that she didn't commit and rockets to the top of that list on the Empress Marasiah Fel's order! The antics that result from this put the bigger mission of Ania, Sauk, AG-37 and Jao Assom on the line with them constantly having to defend themselves from the ongoing rush of Bounty Hunters coming after them! This adds to the books relentless feel of pace and energy, that adds to the other tones of the book, and that will keep you on your toe...
Ania's past is getting to her when she suddenly finds herself proclaimed a criminal responsible for killing of the Imperial Knight. This brings with it groups of bounty hunters and one is very determined to capture Ania ... but not for the reasons you would expect.Again, very good story from the Legacy series. I like that authors are truly trying to flesh out the characters in this series and give the story a more serious tone.Art is very good and something you dont see that much in Star Wars co...
