Eaten By A Volcano

Eaten By A Volcano

Ray Calabrese
0/5 ( ratings)
Arabelle never saw herself as a prodigy. She never believed she had courage. Arabella disliked her piano lessons and piano teacher. It all changed when Shock Drago, a superhero in an electronic book, beckoned Arabelle to come into the iPad and join in an adventure to rescue a girl Arabelle's age who was taken prisoner and held in a castle light years away. Shock Drago needs Arabelle to find Coral and bring her back before Coral is taken to a more secure place. Arabelle is told to fly into an active volcano, pass through the Fire of Death, and sneak into a well guarded fortress to rescue Coral. Arabella's only help are four rings Shock gives her. Each ring has a special purpose. Arabelle's best friend, her pillow pet, Felicia, joins Arabelle and Shock inside the iPad to help rescue Coral.

Here's an excerpt from the book:

Arabelle’s heart raced, her right arm hugged Felicia, “What’s going to happen to Coral Felicia? Will Shock Drago save her?”
Arabelle swiped her forefinger across the iPad to the next page. A picture of Shock Drago dressed in her action suit she made from vegetation from the Rain Forest. It was jade green with a brilliant yellow with an outline of the face and shoulders of a grizzly bear. Shock loved to protect animals from extinction.
Shock adjusted her suit, slipped on a pair of jade green shoes that fit to her feet like they were skin and pulled her hair back into a ponytail.
“She’ll save Coral now Felicia. I know she will,” Arabelle rested Felicia on her pink yoga pants.
“I’m not too sure she will.”
Arabelle looked around her room. She thought she heard a voice say, ‘I’m not too sure she will.’
She turned back to her iPad when she heard it again, “Shock’s going to need help.”
“Okay, who’s playing games?”
Arabelle looked under the bed, no one there. She opened her closet and looked behind all the clothes, no one there. She stood in the middle of her room, her hands on her hips looking toward one corner, then the other. All the windows were closed.
She went back to her bed, picked up the iPad, put her right arm around Felicia, “I must be hearing things Felicia, I honestly thought I heard someone speaking to me.”
“You did.”
“Felicia?”
“That’s the name you gave me.”
“Felicia?”
“Don’t pay attention to me, look at your iPad, Shock Drago is pointing to you.”
Arabelle looked at her iPad. She closed her eyes tight, shook her head. She opened her eyes, looked at her iPad again, there was Shock. Her right arm extended toward Arabelle, her hand stretched palm up, her forefinger beckoning Arabelle to join her in the iPad.
Arabelle lifted her iPad, looked under it. It was just an iPad. She looked back at Shock.
Shock spoke, “I need your help Arabelle, come with me.”
Arabelle looked at Felicia, “I can’t go inside an iPad. How can I fit in there?”
Before Felicia could speak, Shock’s arm and hand came out of screen. Shock grabbed hold of Arabelle’s hand, “Close your eyes, think yourself as small as me, and hold on.”
