Very useful and helpful. What I like about it is the flexibility in applying different routines according to each person's requirements and lifestyle.
Nothing I hadn't heard before. I was hoping for some revelations.
I've been on a productivity kick, and it's not going very well. I'm an avid reader, and I'm forever reading about the best productivity tricks, how to be organized and why waking up early is the key to success. I set my two alarms and still hit snooze. The result? I feel guilty the entire day and feel rushed to complete everything that I need to.I’m a huge fan of Damon Zahariades and have read his books Fast Focus and To-Do List Formula. Also, I love reading his blog every chance that I get. Wha...
Meh~ it's ok for a quick flip, but nothing that groundbreaking.I'm a full time working mom in of 2 little kids. The tips and tricks in this book are elemental and basic. If you've never had a routine before maybe they'd be helpful. But its rudimentary at best.
This lightweight and mildly amusing book is crammed with repetition and contradiction. For example, he extols the virtues of eight hours sleep per night, giving tips such as ‘avoid drinking two hours before bedtime’.Then he describes his own routine, drinking a glass of water before falling asleep at 11.15, in order to wake up at 5.30am (do the math!). Another top tip… shave seconds off your morning routine by sleeping in your jogging clothes, so you can go straight out for your morning run. The...
One of his idols/examples works eighteen hours a day, wakes up at four am to do sports, meditation and prayer. okay, to be fair this is just one of the examples but combined with a tone that is overly eager and cheerful. This book has some good pointers and ideas but kind of gets lost in the semi-preacher approach to the subject matter.
Inspiring read Really good book. I can’t wait to start implementing these changes and form a healthy morning routine. I will be checking out more from this author.
Just finished reading the kindle book “MORNING MAKEOVER: HOW TO BOOST YOUR PRODUCTIVITY, EXPLODE YOUR ENERGY, AND CREATE AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE - ONE MORNING AT A TIME!” by DAMON ZAHARAADES.I read this book while listening to the audible version narrated by GARY ZARCONE.Reduce Your Stress, Feel More Energized, And Experience More Success Each Day With A Simple Morning Routine! Do you want to enjoy better health, stronger relationships, and improved focus? Would you like to lower your stress level...
Morning Makeover: How To Boost Your Productivity, Explode Your Energy and …. [Kindle Unlimited] — Damon Zahariades (6 titled chapters + 4 titled sections) April 12-26, 2020This was a great read and I learned some tricks to help create my own morning routine. This book came along at the right time as I was trying to get into a better morning routine at the start of the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. I was able to work from home for my position, but thought I started off great, I found myself slidin...
Basic truth for morning routinesThis book for me was full of truth, but very entryway type truth to morning routine building. The truths in this book may be basic but I do understand they were not learned overnight. I know from my own life these lessons took so,e time when I was learning them to build them into habits. I do appreciate Damon putting these lessons into writing for those who are trying to build these starter habits. These are the people groups that I feel will get the most out of t...
Great read and reference!I've been reading many of Damon Zahariades' books since the beginning of 2020. At the beginning of this year 2020 I committed to reading self-improvement books. I find this author and I've enjoyed several of his books. I made a commitment to myself to try to get rid of bad habits or at the very least change how I view my own actions. The way he writes his like your chatting with a personal friend that wants to help you succeed. I highly recommend it!
There's a lot of "There's no perfect morning routine. Here are some examples of morning routines. Maybe try yoga? Maybe try going to the gym? You should eat breakfast." in this book, and it's couched in tons of obvious filler about how this book is about to change your life. Morning Makeover seems to be for people who don't have the slightest handle on what a morning is. If that's you, then have at it.
Great book!I really liked this. It helped bring me back to the days of sheer productivity and reminded why I do the things I do. The only thing it lacked (totally personal opinion) was more and better sources for the claims he makes. He makes so pretty large claims about human nature, none of which are wrong in my experience. But just a comment. Would recommend to anyone!
I do not usually rate anything, especially negatively. But this book was especially bad. He works way to hard to use big words too many times, there are so many half blank pages it could've been printed on half as much paper and I'm reading stuff I already know. I'm on page 63 and am already ready to donate this book to goodwill. Sorry about trying to be mean, just honest
Nothing ground breaking here. His other 'self-help' books are generally better. Some rather intuitive tips and tricks in here and the final section about other executives' morning routines is insightful. I believe you can pick this up for 3 bucks which is about what you can expect out of it i.e. entry level primer with some ideas to get you started.
