First of all - this book was great, but boy I hate Monica. I could just strangle her trough my Kindle! I can't say much, don't want to spoil this awesome book, so i'll just say - read it!!
Just Okay This book was up and down for me. The writing was almost whimsical. I wasn’t expecting the comedic commentary. It took a long time for the predictable drama to start. It read like many other deranged mysterious lady stories. It was giving The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Single White Female vibes. It was a quick, easy read. Parts of it were entertaining. The surprise accomplice was an interesting twist. It wasn’t a terrible read, but I’ve read better by this author.
A bit far fetched, but loved the story line completely! I devoured this one!
Remind me to stop reading these “psychological thrillers” that are utterly predictable from page 10.
This book was such a fun read! It was my first Freida McFadden novel and I’ll definitely be reading more. I actually read it in one sitting, that’s how much of a page turner it is. I don’t want to give too much away, since like a Hitchcock movie it’s better to know as little as possible going into the story. And I didn’t see the ending coming, which is hard to do in this day and age, so bravo author!
I honestly don't know why I chose to read this book when I knew it was most likely going to be cliched and filled with inane characters...seriously, there was not even ONE redeemable character. The h was dumb, the H was dumb...the villain was doing well for a while but even she got dumb. *holds head*
FUN AND ENTERTAINING DOMESTIC DRAMA!Abby and Sam have been trying to conceive a baby for years with no luck so they are trying private adoption but the teen mother has now changed her mind and backed out and Abby is just devastated. When Abby's new personal assistant hears of her boss's heart-sick news she happily volunteers to be a surrogate with the provisions that the couple pay her way through graduate school and all her rent and expenses after she leaves her job. This sounds like a win, win...
Addicting? Indeed! At first, I really wasn't sure I'd like this book, but a few chapters in and interested was sparked. I wanted to know what was going to happen to the strong female lead and her cold-blooded boss. It wasn't long after that I was glued, addicted, could not put the book down. Well-written and very addictive indeed, I will be looking for more from this author.
Do I ever get tired of reading Freida McFadden's books or give them 5 solid stars ?Nope !None of her books - this one included - will ever bore you:No un-necessary bits and pieces to the story, no repeat passages - always coming to the point and the twists never stop !This book is no exception:We have a couple, that can't conceive and tried everything from adoption to IVF...and one day, a co-worker offers the chance of a baby per surrogating.Everything seems perfect, until problems with the surr...
This was my third Freida McFadden book this summer, and I finished this book in less than two days. As usual, the plot seemed completely predictable... Until you're slapped with major plot twists that drop your jaw. Once I got about a quarter of the way through, I could not put it down!
Another fab read from Freida McFadden , Abby and Sam are struggling with fertility Odets and all their prayers seem to be answered when the beautiful Monica offers to be a surrogate. As you can expect with this author , things don’t quite go to plan as Monica suddenly doesn’t seem Like the gentle kind woman who was going to give them the greatest gift of all
