I liked itI read the first book and liked it and decided I needed to read this next book in the series after reading the preview. It had twists and turns that I never imagined and a surprise ending. I have now just purchased the next book in this series. Good read!
Dairy-Free Death is book 2 of P. D. Workman’s Auntie Clem’s Bakery mystery series. The most interesting part of this story (which I liked quite a bit) is the fact that Erin is the owner of a bakery that caters to people with all sorts of food allergies. Every one of her baked goods comes with a list of the ingredients, so that anyone with a particular food allergy might avoid purchasing a potentially harmful food item. Seeing as how she is so careful with her bakery items; she is particularly st...
Ms. Workman sure has a way with writing. Her plots are quite complex but extremely interesting. I am enjoying this series very much.
My second read from author P.D. Workman (the first was so good I had to read another immediately), although I own several of her books I’d never gotten around to reading one and after I’d acquired Auntie Clem’s Bakery #3 I wanted to read the first two books in the series before reading it, I really don’t like to read books out of sequence. Dairy Free Death is extremely well written, the characters well developed. I’m a character reader, I get into the characters. Who and what they are. Why they
If you need some light reading, try this series. There is always a murder — due to allergies in this series— but the plot is easy to read and understand. I never figure out who the murderer was so the author must be doing her job. This book has an interesting sub-plot of a transgender youth and small-town gossip. This is the second book in the series and the reader is left hanging with the last sentence. Now, I have to read book #3.There are times when I like a quick read that is not too serious...
I enjoyed this book, as I did the first one of the Auntie Clem's Bakery. Good characters, interesting story, but it ended kind of funny. Our heroine solved the mystery, but then it said something to the effect of, if you want to finish reading this book, buy it here. I just felt like I had finished it and was ready to read Auntie Clem's Bakery, #3, which I will probably do.
Dairy-Free Murder part 2 was a real good read. I like the way you are guessing trying to get one step ahead of the writer. Workman does a good job of weaving different mysteries int one story and only giving you the answer to one. Can hardly wait to read. #3 to see if my guesses are right. Keep up the good work.CheersLynn
This is the second book in this series. This reader is getting quite emotionally caught up in the main characters. Great whodunit. I must confess that my favorite part is the mystery of the identity of The Jam Lady, but I refuse to say whether or not that mystery is solved. BRAVO!
I really enjoyed this newest book in the series. Many twists and sub plots that make me anxious for the next one. Would make a great Hallmark series. Recommended
A preview? Ended on p 177!! I paid for a book nothing about a preview!!
This was terrific! At first I worried that it would be yet another cozy involving food and animals. But it is so much more than that! Now I can't wait to go back and read the first one!
