OMFG! I was so excited because this series started so strong and now NOTHING is happening. NOTHING! They're all just sitting around waiting to see if they can save Xander... But the worst thing is the decline in the art. I'm sorry, but NO ONE has eyes that far apart. NO ONE!
Just not a fan of the art in this arc. The story didn't make much progress, although there were some interesting hints about Willow...
Although the plot has picked up some since my review of the previous issue, Buffy the Vampire Slayer #5, it’s not exactly a brilliant upturn, since it introduces a whole new element to the lore of siring vampires, but doesn’t give us much information about it. And sadly, the art is still pretty disappointingly uninspired, with all the characters still sporting giant, white eyeballs of surprise, and an interesting new location gone to waste with its ho-hum rendering. One pleasant surprise amongst...
Plot isn't doing much and I miss the first artist.
Nothing much happed and the art is still bad :/
While I like what's being done with the story, the artwork has gone way downhill. This issue is the worst one yet in that respect. It's at best inconsistent -- characters look like entirely different from one panel to the next -- and the rest of the time, it's just bad. Faces are drawn so strangely as to look inhuman (see Robin during Buffy & Willow's argument, and later when he says, "I think I should go." ).Hoping the art turns around -- come back, Dan Mora!
Same issues that I have had with the rest. I don't feel like repeating myself again. :(
I found this buried in my pile. Should have left it there. Nothing new added to the story. Just another reason for me not to buy issue #7.
I think I'm officially tapping out at this arc. I really enjoyed issues #1-4 but there's a noticeable shift here (especially with the art, yikes) that reading it just has me skimming the words wondering what else I could be doing with my time.
That was a strong issue. Especially the part where the spider lady makes Buffy confront herself.
This was never about you. And there are some burdens you cannot bear.Buffy learns a hard lesson, Willow steps up to the plate, and Giles explains his relationship with Buffy a little more. What a fantastic issue.I really feel for Buffy, but I also love how much Willow and Xander are involved. The world is theirs to fight for too.Now Buffy will have to face her mom and hope she doesn't get grounded, lol.
Some more action in this one, but that ending.
Everything is moving way too fast for my liking, and I'm not exactly thrilled about how Buffy and Willow handled Robin following them and being chill af about all the horrors he witnessed. They are both smarter than that, the Buffy and Willow I know and love would have questioned the hell out of him. Not to mention, given all that's happened so far with Spike and Dru, and that a lot of very knowledgeable people have been bought together very early on, it shouldn't be difficult for them to learn
My Thoughts On: Buffy the Vampire Slayer #61. Willow, as important as venting your thoughts and processing your feelings is, maybe the best time to do isn't when you're fighting a giant bug-like monster. 2. Buffy and Willow just being affirming friends who support each other and prop each other up is just really important to me, okay? 3. I am LIVING for the Giles/Jenny Calendar content we're getting in this series. Giles and Jenny having a supportive, healthy relationship? Jenny being a total mo...
I desagree... I believe nothing is too much for Buffy. I have seen her succeed more times than i have seen her fail–because she has never failed. She is immensely strong, intelligent and selfless. She has the makings of a wonderful young woman that i have the pleasure to know and to train. It is us who do not deserve her, and she perseveres not just because she must, but because she knows what's right. That's it.
Great issue. Art is not my favorite.
Ugh, Robin.
Still not feeling this art at all. Also, I feel like Buffy and Willow would have been way less chill in the show about being followed. I really really love Jenny and Giles in this though, and Giles defends his place as Watcher pretty well. Also, (view spoiler)[ of course Robin is a plant by the Watchers (hide spoiler)]
The eyes are never quite right in the art.And the new plotline for this rebooted comic takes away all the chracter growth the origional had. I feel like you have to of read/watched the origional buffy to understand the retelling/modern version that this is?
It’s just so good to be back in the world of Buffy but with a new take or twists and turns!
