Ryan J. Call

3.1/5 ( ratings)
Ryan J. Call fell in love with reading and with fantasy in particular at age twelve when he discovered Terry Brooks's The Sword of Shannara--a whopping 726-page epic fantasy novel. He still remembers giving a book report on it as well as the fact that everyone else in his class reported reading books about a hundred pages long. He's been devouring fantasy novels ever since.

Though he began college as an accounting major, Ryan quickly decided to pursue a career as an author instead, and he now loves creating worlds of imagination. His fondest wish is that others will come to love those worlds--and the characters that inhabit them--as much as he does.

Ryan lives in Southeast Idaho where he battles the demon known as chronic migraine. With his real-world activities restricted by this battle, he spends much of his time in fantastic worlds, both those he creates and the creations of other authors. His favorite authors include: David Farland, J. K. Rowling, Terry Brooks, Raymond E. Feist, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Brandon Mull, Eoin Colfer, and Robert Asprin.
