Firesoul (The Burning Prophecy Saga, Book Two)

Firesoul (The Burning Prophecy Saga, Book Two)

Ryan J. Call
0/5 ( ratings)
Dannis and Saras have defeated the Eternal King's fell beast, and Saras has brought Dannis to Athelae on the world Athelius where they expect to find allies in destroying the Eternal King. And, in a nation and on a world where magic use is widespread and prestigious, Dannis believes that he has finally found a place where he belongs, even though, as the Lord of Fire, he is still unique.

However, Dannis is given little chance to make himself at home. Mad King Rythus believes that the prophecy is false and refuses to acknowledge Dannis as the Lord of Fire or give him aid in his struggle. He also accuses Dannis and Saras of trying to undermine his rule, names them traitors, and orders them executed. If he stays, Dannis knows that his presence will divide Athelae in civil war, weakening the nation's defenses and making it an easy target for the Eternal King, so he chooses to leave and search for allies among the human nations. He also seeks the elusive Firesoul Phoenix--giver of the Burning Prophecy--in order to gain mastery over his magic.

To make matters worse, the Eternal King's Deathmasters--Spellcasters warped via magic and forced to serve--have already begun spreading lies about Dannis in order to turn the nations against him. Also, two of the Eternal King's resilient and relentless fell beasts remain, and they stalk Dannis as before, hounding him everywhere he goes. But now, rather than seek their deaths, the Eternal King plans to make Dannis and Saras his newest Deathmasters, and if they fail to find allies, his success is inevitable.
