Hidden Demon:
In a land of tight-knit city-states, seventeen-year-old Dannis lives as a mistrusted and hated outsider upon the estate his parents left to him, a mysteriously fertile estate in the midst of a region devastated in the Great War a hundred years past. His parents led a secretive life, but while the servants know the secrets, they refuse to share them with Dannis. But all the secrets begin to come out on the night that Dannis gets struck by lightning.

The lightning strike awakens Dannis's chaos fire magic, a dangerous and often unpredictable form of magic, and then his visions begin, and he learns that he is the Lord of Fire spoken of in the Burning Prophecy and that he must defeat an ancient evil before it consumes all life. But, lacking a teacher, can Dannis master his magic in time?

To make matters worse, that evil, known only as the Eternal King of Unlife, discovers Dannis's identity and location, and realizing the threat that Dannis might pose, sets a relentless demon to hunt and eliminate him. Also hunting Dannis, though in the hope of helping him survive and fulfill the prophecy, is Saras, a beautiful and skilled master of elemental magic. But can she reach Dannis before the demon does, or will his dangerous magic force him to avoid her and all others while shouldering an impossible burden alone?
