Read the glossary 1st....I enjoyed this book . Although, I did feel quite lost with some of the names and phrases. Perhaps a glossary of words could go in the first fretboard instead of the end .....Josephine has found herself abducted , sold ,and taken again in a short amount of time. A youth Rannik buys her as a sex-bot ( where she has been hiding out -mostly because she looks like them ) Rannik knows she is different but he doesn't know why . He has been sorta kidnapped, and as soon as his Fa...
Impressive first releaseIf you enjoyed Michelle Diener's Class 5 series, Dark Horse etc, I recommend giving this book a try. Read through Kindle unlimited and then purchased for my permanent library. Definitely enjoyed the plot, the premise, the characters. Looking forward to book 2. Author calls this a Happy For Now (HFN) story because there's more adventures in the works and for the heroine a huge unresolved issue. No cliffhanger. One hero and one heroine, no love triangles, no reverse harem.
This was fun! I had read the prequel Sarda, so I was already comfortable with this universe. Although this involves a kidnapped human female, it does not exactly follow the "Mars Needs Women" trope. Our heroine isn't young or weak, and she has a hidden talent, which causes all sorts of troubles. The bad guys are bad, the wise ones are useless, and the hero is too big to fit through the door. Everything was just a little OTT, but not a lot. It kept the story jumping without being annoying. The se...
Super fun series, Bex McLynn writes such funny characters within a very serious and engaging story. I adore Therion!!! (I read first Bane and certain events/characters were confusing to me, but I loved that book and I'm definitely going to re-read it right now). This book/series is not dark, this is the type of read you may enjoy if you need a smart, engrossing plot with a touch of comic relief.I do hope Ms McLynn continues this series!
Terrific follow-up to Sarda. In this story, McLynn expends some effort on side characters like Zver's son and his brother Therion with wonderful results. Good humor level, sci-fi surprises, solid action, practical characters with some steam, and this is a terrific entry into the SFR world! I definitely want to read more from Bex McLynn!Book source: Kindle Unlimited.
3.5-4This one was better than I expected!I'm pretty picky when it comes to SF books and I'm always glad to find something that I actually enjoy. It was cute and fun, a fast read and pretty captivating. The downside, well, it wasn't too special. Still, that doesn't make it bad, not even close. Worth giving a try at least.
Such a fun, heated, and humorous book! Really enjoyed this and the characters. Zver and Seph were wonderful together, and throwing Rannik into the mix, a son of Zver’s, helped connect them even more. Therion was also a wonderful addition and I can’t wait for his book! He was funny and the total opposite of Zver, and such a wiseass. I loved him. A little bit of a spoiler here, so don’t read further if you don’t want to know: Seph never does get her son who is still on Earth. She has two months be...
Re-read: 5/17/19 loved it all over againI really liked this book! I can't wait for the next book!I immediately decided to read it when a review recommended it to people that like the Class 5 series, which I love. The book did have a similar feel but was original. I really enjoyed the idea of ancient alien tech that only human women can control. It leaves so much potential for fun exciting adventures in future books. For whatever reason, I love books where the heroine is a human woman from our ti...
Loved it. Great fun, romantic and adventurous with not too much sex. Very appealing characters. When is Therion's book coming out??And I'm glad that Thane and Seph get another book. Their story is far from over. Can't wait till Thane and Rannik meet Xander!
I liked the characters and it was an interesting world. But I don’t like how technical so much of it was. The author obviously put a lot of work and thought into the world she’s built but it was almost TOO sci fi for me. I was struggling to wrap my head around the idea of a ship having a soul as well as all of the alien terms. The ending was a HFN which was fine but it means I have to read more of the series to get to the HEA and I’m not sure I want to do that.
Grumpy cat in spaceSeph has had it. Waking up in a cryo pod, on another world- evidenced by the aliens surrounding her, was scary enough. The voices in her head didn't help any. Forced to hide as a pleasure bot compounded the trauma. Luckily for her she was discovered by a sweet young cadet and not someone who'd take advantage of the situation. Now, 3 weeks later (when the story starts for the readers) she's half starved, scared as hell and still hearing voices. But hope is in sight. Her cadet's...
This was bad. Like made no sense bad.Like I'd been tossed smack dab into the middle of the ocean and expected to just know how to swim and survive :/And yet, I think I'm still willing to give Bane a shot.
I couldn't put it down! This was my first time reading a book by this author, but it definitely won't be the last! I've already got Bane waiting to read tomorrow, lol. I loved the depth of this story, but it was so easy to fall into, that I didn't get how complex it was until I was deeply in the middle of it. Zver and Seph make an interesting character dynamic, and their purposes are cross right from the beginning. I kind of hate that we don't know how Seph ended up lost in space, to begin with,...
Felt a little disoriented at the start of this new world as it was built around the story.Seph is abducted from Earth and hides as a synth bot until purchased. As usual, the biggest baddest Alen takes a shine to her whilst her brain seems to implode with voices in her head and dreadnought spaceships her only form of transport. This is such a well thought out series and I was gagging for the story of Babe almost before I finished this one!
ThanemongerI tried to read this twice last year and didn't like. I gave it another shot today and I really enjoyed. Complex plot
A decent generic sci-fi romance.Who ends on a cliffhanger for me, yet the first book completes the story for this couple for now. The following book is about a different couple. Many sci-fi features and species characteristics were left unanswered or without purpose or origin. We never learn if she manages to control her gift or not gift, completely, We never learn what awaits her on earth and how much time has passed or if she reunites with Xander again? Many plot threats were only addressed super...
Wow, this is a 10 star book. It's ScFi fantasy and reminded me of Peter Hamilton's books. Everything is great, the plot, characters, other world settings and the cultural challenges. The h is human, has a child and she is desperate to get back to him. The H is wonderful, a strong leader who cares deeply for this people and her. He's becomes besotted with her, but their relationship is not easy. I liked how much he believed in her and respected her views. All the characters were well developed, v...

Woo. OK. Thanemonger is getting an uncommon 5★ rating from me. It was such a delight to read. Excellent balance of plot, conflicts, rounded personalities, and some of the funniest motherh*ckers in space. I laughed out loud a half dozen times when reading this one. These are My People, but in space. Seph wakes up in a space sex doll shop with no idea how she got there. So she does the best she can and finds an easy mark to take her home, teenage cadet Rannick, who is one of the least annoying tee...
SUCH a good read from a new author! What makes or breaks a book for me is the dynamic and between the characters, as well as the characters themselves. I loved all the central characters in this book from Seph all the way to fucking Therion (read the book and you’ll get that reference 😉). The banter and all around back and forth between the characters was highly entertaining, and made me laugh and giggle more than once. Oh, and the sexy goodness was plenty steamy! Can’t wait for the next book in...
