It's not anything new if you've done a few years of cognitive behavioral therapy plus a ton of your own heavy introspection. But I'd say it's a good book to read if you haven't gone to therapy whatsoever, and you're feeling very disillusioned (and anxious, self-deprecating, etc) and unmoored in life. Good way to be introduced to these techniques and ordered well.
I want to love this because I need it, and because the opening said “your sashays into self-sabotage” and the author who reads it himself has a Scottish accent, but an hour into a less than 5 hour book it’s just a lot of opining and repeating to get your shit together, so I’m not going to finish. Bummer.
Absolutely loved these two books! They are my favorite so far this year. I really love the authors no bullshit type approach. Read this book if you’re ready to get rid of your excuses and live a better life! I pretty much highlighted everything in the book!
It's a good read, to remind yourself to be tough on yourself if you have goals, if you want to make changes in your life. A bit of swearing gave it a down-to-earth spin. Overall very enjoyable.
Awesome! Reading this book is a great way to face your own bullsh** and ask yourself why are you getting in your own way. Loved it!
